Pumpkin Fest 2019 Celebrates Heroes and the Hero Within Each of Us
Siegel’s Cottonwood Farm, Lockport, IL Kicks Off its 29th Annual Pumpkin Fest Sat., Sept. 28
2019 Corn Maze: Who is Your Hero? Who Are You a Hero to?
Can a hero really save the world? Whether you’re inspired through religion and Faith or by Superman, The Avengers, The Force, First Responders, a member of the military, a teacher, your grandmother, child, friend or neighbor, heroes come in many forms. They help us see right from wrong, encourage us to help those in need, to love and not to hate, to choose the good over the bad and to pursue what’s noble and meaningful in life.
From those who save lives or those who are examples of personal strength, to those who seem to spread happiness everywhere they go or perform good works in the community, every hero is always in the pursuit of good.
We’re All Heroes: We all have the opportunity to be a hero to others and help change the world through love. We all have momentary choices to do the right thing or to hurt others.
This year, in light of ongoing violence and intolerance, Siegel’s Cottonwood Farm asks everyone to take a moment to think about who their hero is; who has made a positive impact on their lives, who they are inspired by, and how they can be a hero in their life, for family and in their community, in hopes of creating a spark of change for good in the world
To inspire attendees to conquer this year’s intricate “Hero” corn maze, each person will be asked to write down the name of their hero(es) and how they can be a hero for change before walking into the thick corn field and take a photo using hashtag #MyHeroSiegelsFarm. www.OurCornMaze.com
